Since 2022, bassist, composer, and knitting designer Albert Reinholdt Østergaard has captivated audiences with his musical narrative Wear Your Mistakes. Together with his double bass Ælse, he invites attendees to join in communal singing, enjoy humorous stories, and experience an atmospheric evening celebrating our shared human vulnerability. Drawing from his own life story, Albert addresses themes such as bullying and self-esteem, sharing how knitting has had a healing effect for him. He merges music and knitting through his concept of improvisational knitting, where the free spirit of jazz is woven into the sweaters.
