Christmas naturally arrives in Hirtshals from the sea. On Friday, November 27, both children and adults can welcome Santa Claus as he sails in on the Christmas ship and docks at Sydvestkajen below Trappen. Santa is expected to arrive at the quay at 4:00 PM, where he will go ashore and greet the children present. Afterwards, everyone will follow Santa together through Hirtshals to Den Grønne Plads. The afternoon culminates when Santa lights the city's large Christmas tree, officially kicking off the Christmas season in Hirtshals. As tradition, children will receive Christmas treats, while adults can enjoy a warming drink. At the same time, visitors can experience the town's Christmas lights and the special holiday atmosphere in the harbor town.
