Open By Night in Skagen

On Thursday, July 23rd, shops in Skagen will remain open until 9 PM, while the town center comes alive with magic shows, treasure hunts, flamingos, a bouncy playland, and visits from the local firefighters. Enjoy a lively, playful, and summery atmosphere in Skagen's town center during this family-friendly event organized by Skagen Handel.

Magic Show and Balloon Animals In the tent in front of Spar Nord, audiences can enjoy a magic show by magician Mikkel Rugholm from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. He brings his time machine, a series of silly acts, and some of his best magic tricks to Skagen. The audience might even learn how to conjure a raccoon. After the magic show, Mikkel Rugholm will create all kinds of balloon animals for the children. Flamingos Roam the Pedestrian Streets From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Skagen's pedestrian streets will be visited by Flamingo Fatale. These charming, decorative, and inquisitive pink flamingos will move around the town center, eager to greet both children and adults. This walk act by KoloBritt features characters mingling with the public, creating fun and surprising encounters. Treasure Hunt Through the Town's Shops Children aged 2 to 12 can participate in a treasure hunt through Skagen's shops. Treasure maps are distributed at Vandkunsten from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, after which children can explore the town center to find the treasure. Every participant receives a gift, but only 125 treasure maps are available, so arriving early is recommended. Fire Trucks at Vandkunsten As an additional activity, Skagen's local firefighters will visit Open By Night. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, they will display their fire trucks at the square by Vandkunsten. Both children and adults will have the opportunity to get close to the vehicles, meet the firefighters, and learn more about their work. Bouncy Playland at Kappelborg At the square by Kulturhus Kappelborg, a large bouncy playland will be set up again. The area will be filled with bouncy castles and other activities where children can play throughout the day and evening until 9:00 PM. While the children play, adults can explore the shops, enjoy the summer atmosphere, or take a break at one of the town's many restaurants and cafés.
