On a Mission with the Ocean's Superheroes

Join us in front of the Oceanarium and meet one of the Ocean's Superheroes. Who will be revealed beneath the surface today? Our guides are ready to take you on an exciting journey to get closer to some of the ocean's incredible superpowers.

Become part of the Ocean's Superhero Team Are you ready for a mission filled with excitement, fun challenges, and fascinating experiences beneath the ocean's surface? At the Nordsøen Oceanarium, brave helpers are needed when an evil supervillain threatens to destroy everything! The supervillain has placed a bomb in a secret location within the exhibition, and now it's up to you to find the hidden code before it's too late. Along the way, you'll meet eight ocean superheroes and discover that marine animals possess unique abilities that almost seem like real superpowers. Meet, among others, Bonnie the blue mussel, who can purify water; Berit the octopus, an expert in camouflage; and Hugo the gray shark, with extraordinary senses. You can also get acquainted with Gerda the sea anemone and her invisible stinging cells, Sus the gannet who can achieve impressive speeds, Villy the porpoise with a huge mouth, Karen the shore crab with her natural armor, and Svend the harbor seal who can hold his breath for a long time. Experiences for the Whole Family Besides the superhero mission, the day offers plenty of exciting experiences. Go backstage for a behind-the-scenes look, where you might be lucky enough to meet everything from small sharks to wolffish and conchs. Look forward to the feedings in the large outdoor sealarium, home to both harbor seals and gray seals. In the impressive Oceanarium, you can witness feedings among sharks, thousands of schooling fish, and other fascinating sea creatures in 4.5 million liters of seawater. And as a special treat, sunfish are now back in the Oceanarium! The day also offers the opportunity to meet one of the ocean's superheroes up close when guides invite you to an exciting talk about the animals' incredible abilities. Daily Program 10:00–11:00 – Backstage Visit Go behind the scenes and experience some of the exciting animals hidden outside the regular exhibitions. 10:30 – Seal Feeding Watch the curious harbor and gray seals being fed in the outdoor sealarium. 12:00 – Oceanarium Feeding See life unfold in the enormous Oceanarium as sharks, schooling fish, and other sea creatures are fed. 14:00 – Seal Feeding Another chance to get close to the seals and observe their fascinating behavior. 15:00 – Meet One of the Ocean's Superheroes Join the guides in front of the Oceanarium and learn more about one of the ocean's fantastic superheroes and its special abilities.
