Wine & Knowledge: Nature's Hidden Superpowers – But Who Protects Nature?
What do bacteria and The Green Tripartite actually have in common? More than you might think.
In this edition of Wine & Knowledge, you can experience two fascinating presentations that each explore the future of nature from different perspectives. First, we delve into an invisible world where bacteria emerge as some of the greatest – and most overlooked – heroes of the green transition. They can, among other things, purify wastewater, remove greenhouse gases, and produce bioplastics and bioenergy. With new DNA technologies, researchers are only now beginning to truly understand the enormous potential these microscopic organisms hold. Next, the focus shifts from nature's smallest actors to the people fighting for its future. The Green Tripartite aims to pave the way for more nature and biodiversity in Denmark – but how does one actually speak on behalf of nature? And how much influence do nature organizations have when negotiating with, among others, the agricultural sector about the future landscape? Wine & Knowledge combines knowledge, conversation, and reflection in an informal setting. There will be a break during the event – offering the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine, ask questions, and continue discussions on the evening's themes.
